VISITORS & QUERIES

I have been working on edit requests for findagrave.com for the Layton Township Cemetery, St. Patrick’s Cemetery and Lincoln Township Cemetery. Judy Brehmer and I have added information on her HANSEN, MARTIN and PARDEE families.
Laurie Stevens from Newport, Oregon visited our genealogy room seeking information on her POPE family. We helped her get copies of many obituaries of relatives and found Lemuel (looked like Samuel), Elizabeth, Ulysses (looked like Zielaser), James and John Pope. They were in the 1885 Iowa Census in Lincoln Township, Pottawattamie County.
Another visitor was Linda Hanie from Thornton, Colorado. We copied the NISSEN family history and many other Nissen obituaries, birth, marriage, death and census records and ads from The Walnut Bureau for her. She plans to write a story of her growing up years living in Walnut from 1952 to 1962. We want to thank her for the generous donation to our society.
