CONGRATULATIONS TO HELEN SUE WILLIAMS
The Walnut Genealogy Society would like to recognize member Helen Sue (Henry) Williams. She celebrated her 80th birthday with a luncheon and open house on November 22, 2009, at the Oakland Community Building in Oakland, Iowa. The party was hosted by her daughters and their families. Her daughters are Connie (Dan) Lantz of Bulverde, Texas; Denise (Dwight) Hobson of Oakland and Emily (Scott) Miller of Oskaloosa, Iowa. There are nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren in her family.
Helen is the fourth generation to live on her farm. She was happily married for almost 49 years to Roy Williams, who passed away in 1999. His parents and grandparents had strong ties to the Walnut community.
