Jay Johnson from Chanhassen, Minnesota visited twice seeking information on NIELSEN and Jeppe ANDERSON. Father Thomas Dooley from Avoca was helped with his research by Barb Butcher and Gayle Stuart.
My second cousin Connie Burmeister Paul and her husband, Jerry, from Woodland Park, Colorado visited. We worked on our KARSTENS and BURMEISTER families. She is also researching our LEOPOLD and EGGERSS relatives.
Don Rouwenhorst from Pella, Iowa was a visitor and was helped by Margo Matthies, finding HECTOR obituaries.
Maxine Brandes from Walnut asked for information on her great-grandfather Carl MYERS. I found the article about his death from being struck by lightning in his home. I also found an article about Maxine’s grandfather Charles MYERS moving from a farm near Walnut to a farm near Astor, Iowa. Astor was a small town in Nishnabotny Township, Crawford County about 2 miles southwest of Manilla. I shared the family’s memorials on findagrave with Maxine and she allowed us to copy her Myers Roots family history.
